About Adu
Adu is a ride-booking app for Morocco. We help passengers book licensed taxis with a clear price, a verified driver and a boarding PIN, and we give drivers a fair, transparent way to find trips.
What we are building
Booking a taxi in Morocco still often means negotiating on the street, guessing the fare and hoping the car is the right one. Adu puts the price, the driver and the vehicle on screen before you get in.
The Adu apps for iOS and Android cover city taxis (dedicated or shared) and seats on intercity big taxis. Each trip shows the fare in dirhams before you confirm, the driver’s name, photo and plate, live tracking, and a PIN you check with the driver before you board.
Where we are
Adu is in development and has not launched yet. We are starting with a single pilot city, El Jadida, with dedicated small-taxi rides and cash payment. Intercity seats and shared city rides follow once they have been tested there.
We only add a service or a city once the required authorizations, insurance and support staffing are in place.
How we work
- Safety first: verified drivers and vehicles, boarding PIN, trip sharing, in-app reporting and a staffed safety team.
- Honest prices: the fare, fees and cancellation terms are shown before you book.
- Privacy: location is tracked only during trips, and we collect only what the service needs.
- Local: Arabic, French and English from day one, built for Moroccan addresses and connections.
Technology
Adu is built with a Java Spring Boot backend with PostgreSQL and Redis, Flutter mobile apps and this Next.js website, built to run on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The team
Adu is an early-stage startup run by its founding team. It is not incorporated yet; we plan to register a company in Morocco before launch. For partnerships, press or anything else, write to admin@adu.ma.
