Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Adu collects, why, and the choices you have. Adu is an early-stage project and is not yet incorporated. Until a company is formed, the Adu founding team is responsible for the data described here and can be reached at admin@adu.ma; we will add the company’s legal name and registration details here once it exists. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not ask you to create an account. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running; these are kept for a limited time and are not used to profile you.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and keep a record of the request.
The Adu app (when it launches)
To provide rides, the app will process:
- Account data: name, phone number (verified by SMS code), language and consent choices.
- Trip data: pickup and destination, route, times, fare, receipts and ratings.
- Location: your device location while you are booking or on a trip, not in the background otherwise.
- Safety and support data: reports, messages to support and, for safety cases, the related trip records.
- Drivers only: identity, licence, permit, vehicle and insurance documents needed for verification.
Why we use it
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
- To match you with a driver, show the price, run the trip and issue receipts.
- To keep passengers and drivers safe, investigate reports and prevent fraud.
- To answer support requests and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Sharing
During a trip, the passenger and driver see the details they need (name, photo, vehicle, pickup point). Trip-sharing links show limited trip information to the people you choose and expire. We use service providers such as cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services), maps and SMS, under contracts that limit their use of the data. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Storage, transfers and retention
Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to staff who need it. Where data is stored or processed outside Morocco, we do so only as permitted by the Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel (CNDP). We keep each type of data only as long as needed for its purpose or as the law requires (for example, accounting records), then delete or anonymize it.
Your rights
Under Moroccan Law 09-08 you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, and object to its processing for legitimate reasons. Email admin@adu.ma with the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask you to confirm your identity. You can also contact the CNDP (www.cndp.ma).
Changes
We will update this policy before the app launches and whenever our practices change. The date above shows the latest version.
